New Moon Goddess Gathering
Limited Capacity seats available

Asana - Mantra - Breath - Meditation - Relaxation

We are living in a powerful time which encourages us to remember our lineage and reconnect with the ancient wisdom of womanhood. To be a woman is to simultaneously play many rolls: daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, friend, home maker, community leader...; which stretches us out in all directions, like spokes from the hub of a wheel, exposing our sensitive nature. It can be difficult to find stillness and balance within such contradictory tensions, yet it is essential to our wellbeing and necessary for the proper functioning of our lives. In order to find the true essence of ourselves as women, we need quiet solitude, “the stilling of the soul within the activities of the mind and body so that it might be still as the axis of a revolving wheel is still”. (Charles Morgan) Inward connectedness teaches us how to draw our energies to the hub and into the axis of the revolving wheel, to grow in both strength & sensitivity. We must learn to gather into ourselves first, so that we may than serve all our spokes from a place of balance and authenticity.

On the morning of the New Moon, we will gather to honour the creative power of the Dark as an equal and opposite force to Light, which invites us to descend from our thinking ‘mind’, into the ‘heart’ of intuition. Within the dark hub of our sacred centre, we will plant the seeds of our intentions & goals, for it is in the dark that seeds germinate and the roots of our dreams take hold.

“...Woman must be the pioneer in this turning inward for strength”
~Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Transitioning with Grace
Limited Capacity seats available

The intention of this workshop is to explore the transitions that fall in between our asana. Paying attention to the movement that carries us from one posture to the next. Utilizing time, and the space that we occupy in those moments to consciously connect the practice together. We will play, following our breath as the guide, working deep into many of the smaller stabilizing muscles of the body to encourage smooth fluidity, like a dance, during our time spent together.

Allowing the body to feel into the focus of a different aspect of a practice, will encourage us to slow down and really become present off of our mats in our day to day lives as well. How often do we look forward to a certain event, meeting, plan or commitment without understating or feeling into what happens on the way to it becoming a reality? How about after it's completed? Just as we flow from one asana to the one following, are we able to use the same intentional grace to explore equanimity in all moments.

Being invited to teach at Prairie Love has been a beautiful gift for me. I grew in the prairies so have a deep and fond appreciation and knowing of the life and what it encompasses. Even though I have been blessed to live and teach in different countries and areas if the world, in my heart the prairies will always be home. Our lives are in constant transition, the only constant is change... And I am honoured to share with you, my understanding and experience of my own personal story.

Alchemy of Love: Drinking the Lotus
Limited Capacity seats available

Join me for this life-changing workshop which includes inspirational music, mantra, guided visualization, talk story and vinyasa flow yoga. Learn a new perspective on your practice through the prism of the empowered feminine. Meet familiar poses in a more nurturing way and expand your practice with new poses approached in an expressive, connected manner. Move beyond limitations, feel elegance in movement, find joy in what makes you unique in the world. Let’s play and flow, and restore balance to our inner and outer worlds. At the end, we will have the luxury of the most beautiful guided meditation in savasana.

The lotus is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world and is a symbol of compassion, wisdom, and spiritual growth. It is an ancient symbol of our planet. Growing in muddy waters, and rising above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty, at night the flower closes and sinks under water, rising again at dawn. It reminds us to reconnect to natural Spiritual Rhythm: harmony between dynamic and static masculine and feminine energies within us.

We will learn what balance is—and the 5 common causes of imbalance.  We will get into synchronicity with nature, redefine happiness and leave feeling stronger and kinder.

This Workshop is for you if you want to…

-Learn how to align and balance your inner life and outer life

-Heal fatigue and over-working

-Prioritize self-care and healthy boundaries

-Strengthen intuition

-Learn about the divine feminine

Vinyasa Krama

This workshop is built around the history and lineage of modern yoga; touching on topics from early Hindu influences, traditional texts, and modern adaptations. The class is based around the Vinyasa Krama style, as taught by Sri T. Krishnamacharya, the unarguable ‘father’ of modern yoga.

Vinyasa Krama is characterized by its slow, deliberate movements and intentional focused breathing. It encompasses the totality of Krishnamacharya’s teachings, dating back as far as the Yoga Sutras and is accessible to the novice yogi and advanced practitioner.
In this workshop, we will explore the history and lineage of modern yoga, as taught by Sri. T. Krishnamacharya.
Topics discussed include: what are the origins and foundations of modern yoga, what does a complete practice beyond asana postures look like, and how do we apply these teachings to our modern practice.

Practice includes a 60 minute guided Vinyasa Krama practice, 10 minutes of pranayama and breath work, and concluded with a guided meditation.

We will start with a dynamic sweaty playful vinyasa flow to building inner heat (tapas) through core work and radical self-inquiry. Confront your judgments and fear and learn powerful tools to identify, forgive and integrate the shadow aspects of Self we tend to deny or conceal. While in the flow we will examine the 3 key Habits of Happiness we can apply to every pose, and to your life off the mat. These are: 1. Self-Awareness  2. Accceptance   3. Accountability

Then strengthen your intuition and pinpoint the space created by the physical practice with stillness and silence. Learn to hear your authentic, inner voice and patiently listen within for the answers on how to create the happiness you deserve. And in the spirit of “every little thing going to be alright” towards the end of this workshop we’ll enjoy some rich, restorative yoga accompanied by a touch of sweet meditation. Core Connection: Awakening the intelligence of the core body
Limited Capacity seats available

We’ve all heard the numerous benefits of having a strong core, but for many of us, we end up strengthening just one small part (the abdominals) of what the core encompasses. In this session, we will explore the anatomy of the core to understand how to better utilize the power of core muscles to strengthen your centre.

Developing awareness, strength, and stability of your core sets the stage for greater depth, steadiness, and ease in the rest of your practice. You will travel through transitions and into stillness and balance, so that you may move with more grace, more power and more efficiency and with less risk of injury. You will awaken your capacity for core strength in motion (dynamic alignment) and learn to integrate your core in creative, effective, lasting ways.

This workshop will focus on the physical, emotional, and subtle components of core body strength and awareness. Expect a thorough, intelligent sequence that includes plenty of abdominal work, inversions, twists and side-bends.

The beauty of understanding the core is that you will leave with knowledge that informs your practice in a functional way to help you access a deeper layer of strength that you may not know was there - both on and off the mat.

Power + Purpose
Limited Capacity seats available

The style of yoga I teach builds flexibility, physical strength, mental focus, balance, core stabilization and breath control. More importantly, it taps into the inner power of each student. The yoga mat offers a unique opportunity to move from distraction into direction. Yoga has given me the opportunity to physically and spiritually transform through mindful effort and steady practice. By blending, breath, flow, heat, bandhas (locks), and drishti (gaze), you move inwards cultivating an awareness of mind, body, heart, and intuitive power. By practicing yoga we move with in and connect to the heart & body. We experience the truth of who we are and what we are capable of. When we let go of the negative, self-defeating thoughts and create positive intension, anything is possible. I am committed to guide students in discovering their inner peace, power, love and confidence.

Yoga Honey: All Levels… All Good.
Limited Capacity seats available

Honey is an incredible substance.  Whenever you travel somewhere, bring some back as a distillation of where you have been.   It embodies in liquid form everything that is vital about an area: the sunshine, the air, the flowers and fruit.

In a similar way, Eoin’s Yoga Honey routine is packed full of that nectar of everything vital to the yoga practice.   We will set the tone with a blissology discussion, then move into a vinyasa flow class.  You will enjoy a logical progression of postures from standing, seated, forward bends, deep twists and backbends that perfectly balance intensity and flow and embody joy, lightness and humour.   This practice will open your heart, clear your mind and will make you strong and flexible.  A sweet and tasty treat to be savoured!

Yoga for a Healing Heart
Limited Capacity seats available

Grief can have a profound impact our well being; physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Since at one time or another we all lose people or things we are attached to, whether it be through death, divorce, injury, illness, and countless other examples, it is said grief is the most common emotion in the human heart, next to love. Yoga, which treats the whole person - body, mind and spirit - through asana, pranayama and meditation, is perfectly suited to help ease the symptoms of grief in a holistic way and mindful way. “Yoga for a Healing Heart” offers a series of transformative yogic practices that offer opportunities to transform pain and suffering into strength and growth; where grief becomes a catalyst toward expanding and redefining the self.

Alchemy of Fire: Rebel Spirit Vinyasa Flow
Limited Capacity seats available

Yoga works to inspire a REBEL SPIRIT in all of us. It reduces our resistance to fear because through this practice perfectionism diminishes. In this workshop we will practice feeling more than thinking, learning more than comparing, enjoying more than judging. If we convince ourselves to decide only with our minds it is possible to over-analyze any situation or decision all the way into procrastination or fear.

Then it’s easy to talk ourselves out of the best experiences of life. However, if we defiantly let our heart consciousness take an active role, then we shift our paradigm into one where there is no failure, only trust that we can’t really fail at anything. If you go up to bat and miss the ball, it’s not a big deal. You produce a result; so you act upon that result and stay stoked to try again.

We will invoke the badass energy of Durga, Invincibility, to stand up for our life! We will inhabit the poses with fierce kindness and peaceful determination and strut away inspired to be ourselves. Join me for some playful, radical fun flow to stoke your rebel spirit!

Disclaimer: Rebel Spirit Vinyasa Flow can be (1) practiced by anyone, and (2) You can’t do it wrong. (3) Please come dressed like you (and not like everybody else). (4) Yoga police, yoga elitists, and anyone that’s “yogierthanthou” this one is not for you.

AHHSANA: yoga + thai massage partner workshop
Limited Capacity seats available

Join Monica Angelatos as we explore a lazy yogi’s Ahhh-sana practice.  You and your bestie, sister, or lover will share in a mutual un-Thai-ing of each other’s emotional and physical knots, through the therapeutic techniques of Thai bodywork. As you move through a guided partner-supported asana sequence, you will take turns giving and receiving Thai yoga massage.
Thai Massage is a therapeutic, soothing and deep practice.  You will learn techniques such as palming, thumbing, pressing and stretching.  We’ll move through a series of applied yoga poses that open the joints, lengthen the muscles and stretch connective tissues. Stimulating the tissues causes stagnated energy to become unblocked and flow through the Sen energy lines, restoring balance in the body and leaving you and your partner with a deep sense of well being.
No experience is required. Monica will provide clear, easy-to-follow directions to create a safe environment for your exploration. Bring a partner with whom you feel comfortable being in close contact. You will leave the workshop feeling the bliss of having had a great yoga practice as well as a great massage.- See more at: http://www.prairieyogimagazine.com/2015/02/ahh-sana-thai-yoga-massage-partner.html#sthash.QVV9GI2A.dpuf

Living and Practicing in Possibility: the art of getting out of your own way
Limited Capacity seats available

This class explores the self-created barriers and stories that we create in our minds, how they can affect our lives, and what we can do in order to quiet the background noise in order to live from a place of freedom and possibility.

Through the practice of asana, pranayama and meditation, one can mindfully learn to be aware of the subtle activity of the mind and begin to break free from habitually limiting mind states and thought patterns.

Class will begin with a short discussion on the practice of mindfulness, followed by a 60 minute vinyasa flow class designed to open the body, and subsequently open the mind. We will close with a 15 minute guided meditation around the art of living in possibility.
